Last Updated on Jun 26, 2024

MERRILLVILLE, IND. –  Centier Bank is pleased to welcome the summer intern class of 2024, comprised of 27 students from universities in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Kansas.

Interns will spend their time in dedicated areas across the bank to gain professional experience and a firsthand look at banking careers. Interns will spend time in departments such as retail, human resources, marketing, technical solutions, risk management, and more.

“We’re pleased to welcome this remarkable class of students to Centier Bank, as these bright students always bring fresh perspectives and eagerness to learn, we provide them with guidance and meaningful work,” Schrage explained. “It's rewarding to see some of these interns transition into successful careers here at Centier, a testament to the value of internships in creating an even better tomorrow.”

Throughout the 12-week internship, the group of interns will get together for teambuilding activities that embody the bank’s Servant Heart Culture. This summer, the cohort will pick up trash at the Indiana Dunes as part of the "Trash Trekkers" program and attend a Crown Point Corndogs baseballgame.

Interns take part in professional development training sessions and attend networking panels for conversations with Centier associates to discover more about their own career paths. All interns also work on group capstone projects throughout the summer to present to bank leadership. Centier also celebrates National Intern Day with an on-site celebration.
