CENTIER BANK GIFTS OVER $54,000 TO INDIANA UNITED WAY AGENCIES FOLLOWING EMPLOYEE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Centier Bank associates present a $54,000 donation to Indiana United Way Agencies, representing the bank’s continued commitment to community enrichment.
MERRILLVILLE, IND. – Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned bank, recently presented a gift of over $54,000 to Indiana United Way Agencies. The donation was funded by associate contributions and a matching corporate gift as part of an annual workplace giving campaign that demonstrates the bank’s goal of enriching lives across the communities in which it serves. This contribution follows Centier’s donation of $65,000 to the organization in 2024, for a total two-year donation of more than $100,000.
The check presentation took place at Centier’s Corporate Office, just months before its 130th anniversary, underscoring the bank’s long-standing dedication to fostering growth for individuals and families across the region. The funds will support United Way agencies across Indiana, serving the 12 counties within Centier’s footprint and advancing flagship initiatives like Level Up, a program that provides essential resources, education, and support to empower Hoosier families and individuals.
“I am immensely grateful to everyone who made this generous donation possible,” said Anthony Contrucci, President of First Bancshares, Inc., Centier Bank’s parent company. “Through this fundraising or community relations campaign, the Centier team has once again showcased our commitment to giving back and creating meaningful impact in our communities.”
Indiana United Way Agencies are devoted to positively impacting lives across the state through health, education and financial literacy initiatives. This shared goal of supporting Indiana communities through access to proper resources and caring relationships has created a strong partnership between Centier and the organization.
“Generous and mission-driven community leaders like Centier and its associates enable and sustain our efforts of advancing education, financial stability and access to essential resources for those in need,” said Chris White, President and CEO of United Way Northwest Indiana.
